Job Interview (and outcome!)

Posted on July 28th, 2007 at 7:45pm

On Monday, I was told I had a job interview on Tuesday at 10am.

I went to the interview - there were two types of jobs going: part-time (16 hours a week) or 4 hours a week. Both were cashier jobs. I was going for the part-time job.

On Thursday, I found out how I did in the interview - I didn't get the part-time job I wanted. :(

BUT.
I got the '4 hours on a Saturday' job. Which, believe it or not, is great. I'm gutted I didn't get the job I wanted but I'm glad I've got my 'foot in the door'. And I might be given more hours if the managers think they'll need me. :)

In addition to this, I'm doing other hours 'behind the scenes'; an admin-y type of job.

I started work today (1pm-5pm) and I'll be doing a 3 hour shift tomorrow (1pm-4pm).

I've been feeling really stressed all week and haven't slept. I am beyond tired. So I apologise for this entry being a little all over the place - I just wanted to tell everyone my news. :) (Yes, I really AM excited over a 'little' '4 hours on a Saturday' job. It's better than what I had before!)

Congrats Lirae!! :D You're right, it's great to just get in there, even if it's not exactly what you wanted I'm sure you'll get the hours you want soon! (:
